Hypersolid and Accessibility Desk have formed a strategic partnership. This collaboration builds upon our commitment to compose digital platforms and experiences that are inclusive and accessible to everyone.

Accessibility Desk (Digitaal Toegankelijk) specializes in accessibility audits, training, and compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the European Accessibility Act (EAA). With their expertise, our teams are now trained as WCAG specialists across all relevant disciplines: smart and connected TV, web, app development, design, and quality assurance (QA).

This solid foundation equips us to meet the WCAG standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), ensuring that our work is an inclusive experience for all users, including those with disabilities.

Third-party validation

At Hypersolid, we recognize the importance of addressing accessibility needs and validating our progress through independent audits. Our partnership with Accessibility Desk, accredited by the DDAI (Dutch Digital Accessibility Index), facilitates this process, allowing us to equip our team members with essential accessibility knowledge and integrate accessibility into every aspect of our work.

If you want to understand how upcoming legislation may impact your organization, we're happy to discuss strategies to enhance accessibility and ensure compliance.

Understanding accessibility guidelines

About The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG): The WCAG are an international standard designed to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Web content in this context refers to natural information such as text, images, audio, and video, or code that defines structure and presentation. The guidelines address the following criteria: mobile accessibility, people with low vision, and people with cognitive and learning disabilities.

About the European Accessibility Act (EEA): The EEA is a directive aimed at streamlining the market for accessible products and services across Europe by eliminating inconsistencies in national rules. By June 28, 2025, most organizations will need to comply with this new digital accessibility directive. Accessible design improves usability for all users, helps avoid legal and reputational risks, improves SEO, and ensures compliance with evolving standards.
